Dumbledore is gay.

Horrors.  JK Rowling outed her own creation, Dumbledore, as a gay man last week.  Given that I'm halfway through my third-fourth-fifth? read of Deathly Hallows, my reaction was "duh."  I'm much more amused by what's going on in the media, and I've decided that some intrepid reporter should ask each presidential candidate for his/her reaction.   And the answer should inform the vote.  IMHO, if you have a problem with it, call for the books to be removed from libraries (or if you automatically think it makes Dumbledore a pedophile), you have no business seeking a job as leader of the free world because you definitely have a problem separating fantasy from reality.  And we have enough of that in the current administration.

Okay, I've watched this video three times, and each time the shot of the little girls at the end makes me teary-eyed.  My daughter is the most beautiful person I know, and I am sad and freaked out that she's going to face this growing up.  Moms, we need a revolution.

I opened my inbox, and there it was . . . an email from Radar online!  The country's best magazine has been resuscitated again.  It's the "it" book -- filling the large gap between the Economist and Vanity Fair.

For all you non-believers, I serve this article:  America's Dumbest Congressmen.  A top-10 list of the non-productive folks who are busy sucking up our resources and giving nothing back.   I won't give away the winner, but (s)he hails from Florida, and it ain't Mark Foley.
